MAËL DURAZ NAYAK
20 SEPTEMBER—3 OCTOBER 2025
OPENING: 19 SEPTEMBER 17:20
01 - ROOM 2
This exhibition features the work of Maël Dupraz Nayak, who puts in dialogue the relationships between faith, secularism, and his personal history.
Drawing from a childhood in a religious household, Dupraz Nayak incorporates catholic imagery not as an act of devotion, but as a way to question traditional narratives of success and meaning.
The artworks merge personal memories with powerful symbols of status, luxury, and death. Through these visual comparisons, Dupraz Nayak reflects on how religious, cultural, and capitalist belief systems shape our lives and futures. The pieces stretch dualities between symbols, to sometimes confront and sometimes mourn what they represent, offering a compelling meditation on the tensions between what we are told to believe and what we experience.
